HIE-YA ("we", "us", "our") operates Parent Assistant (the website and any store app built from it). This page explains what we collect, how we use it, how ads work for mixed-age users in Israel, and how to contact us.
01 Information we collect
- Account data: email, first name, last name, password (hashed by Firebase Authentication) or Google Sign-In identifiers
- Family/school content you create: spaces, members, activities, calendars, reminders
- Age band (under 13 / 13–17 / 18+) — used only to choose age-appropriate ads and to avoid profiling minors
- Device and notification data: language preference, push tokens if you enable notifications
- Technical logs needed to run the service (for example request errors)
02 How we use information
- Provide the service: log-in, spaces, calendars, reminders, and support
- Send push or email notifications you opted into
- Show ads: personalized ads only for users marked 18+; non-personalized / child or teen treatment for younger users
- Security, abuse prevention, and legal compliance (including Israel's Protection of Privacy Law, Amendment 13)
03 Children and minors (Israel)
Parent Assistant is used by mixed audiences, including children under 13 together with parents. We show a one-time age screen. We do not use minors' data for behavioral ad profiling. Users under 13 receive child-directed (non-personalized) ads; users 13–17 receive teen-restricted ads. Parents/guardians should complete the age screen for accounts used by children. This policy is written for users in Israel; we are not targeting COPPA (US) or GDPR (EU) audiences, but Google ad tags still apply worldwide.
04 Third-party services
- Firebase (Google) — authentication, Firestore database, Cloud Messaging
- AWS — API hosting (Lambda / API Gateway)
- Adsterra — website banner ads (web/PWA)
- Google AdMob — native ads in the store app (when published), with child/teen/adult treatment
- Google AdSense — only if/when the website is approved; not used inside the store app
05 Cookies and ads on the website
The website may use cookies or similar technologies for login, language, and (on the web) third-party ad scripts. Native store-app ads use Google's mobile SDK, not website ad cookies.
06 Storage, retention, deletion
Account and family data are stored in Firebase (Google Cloud) and processed by our API. Data is kept while the account exists. Email moshe.hatab.projects@gmail.com to review, correct, or delete your account. We aim to complete deletion within 30 days where technically feasible (backups may lag).
07 Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top will change when we do.
